Trump’s Tariff War with China<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Krugman states that Trump hasn’t rallied other countries to join the U.S. in pressing China, and is picking fights with everyone and “doing it wrong.”<\/span>
\n“Doing it wrong” is an understatement.<\/span>
\n\"\"<\/a>The problem is that Trump\u2019s financial expertise is limited to bamboozling business people, taking their investment money, running a business to the ground, and fiing for bankruptcy.
\nThen, he leaves them holding the bag while he looks for more victims to con.
\nComplain and Trump sues them.
\nTrump loves stooges, yes-men and useful idiots who will do his bidding from William Barr at DOJ to Peter Navarro at the Office of Trade and Manufacturing.
\nSo, Trump is flying solo with whims, a colossal ego, and impulsiveness as co-pilots.
\nPlaying the tariffs\u2019 game requires financial expertise and skill, and the cooperation of other nations. World leaders consider Trump a buffoon on the world’s stage.
\nIn China, Trump is playing checkers with gangster\/thug chess masters. So, he takes advantage of the weight and power of the American presidency.
\nAsked about Trump’s “big strategy,”
\nKrugman nailed it: \u201cI think it\u2019s a lot cruder than that \u2014 more about extortion (don\u2019t expect any favors unless you book my hotels) than stock market manipulation. It\u2019s a sort of corruption… never assume sophistication when crude thuggery is sufficient.”
\nThe “stable genius” recently said the tariffs might go beyond the 2020 election, and the stock market dropped 300 points.
\nYeah, Trump is a financial wizard, and I’m a walrus.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Trump and The Second Coming<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

Two days ago, I was sitting at Lighthouse Coffee in Santa Barbara and struck up a conversation with a lovely couple, Kristine and Peter, from Deagon, Australia.<\/span>
\n\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

We avoided talking about the Republican Elephant in the room until nearly the end of a 30-minute conversation. Basically, they were anxious to find out whether voters would reelection Trump.<\/span>
\nKristine said what America decides will impact the world.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then, she leaned close to my ear and dropped a nugget: white evangelicals believe that Trump was the anti-Christ who is going to ignite a cataclysmic war and set the stage from the Second Coming of Jesus.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What? Really? Nooo.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kristine sadly shook her head.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I didn’t ask any more questions, dismissing this as an Alex Jones-sponsored rumor or it was spawned from a fringe, right-wing, white Christians who equate the Brown hoards on the south border to the locust that invaded ancient Egypt.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then, I read Peter Wehner’s column. Kristine was right. Loons with Bibles have adopted a con man who gives the devil competition in lying and has the scruples of a goat, as their political messiah.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then, I recalled that Trump said TWO Corinthians is a favorite Bible verse.
\nWell, turns out that this Bible chapter has an interesting verse: ‘And no marvel; for Satan himself is <\/span><\/span>transformed into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And, Trumpster has the nuclear launch codes in his pocket.
\nKristine and Peter aren’t happy with Donald but said they talk in whispers about him in some states, mostly southern.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Bloomberg on Friday brushed back critiques about his wealth and bristled at the suggestion that he was using it to buy success in the 2020 presidential race, arguing that other Democrats who have complained about his entry into their party\u2019s primary could have taken it upon themselves to earn their own personal fortunes, as he had done.”\u00a0 \u2014 NYT<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\"\"<\/a>Bloomberg is the Slick Willie version of Donald Trump \u2014 dodging questions and making excuses.<\/span><\/div>\n
He was a staunch defender of Stop and Frisk for years even after a federal judge ruled that the program discriminated against black and brown people. It humiliated, harassed, intimidated and threatened black and brown people.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It was also cruel and caused a major rift between the police and the community. <\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Stop and Frisk did little to stop crime and most of the weapons seized were found on whites that were thrown into the Stop and Frisk mix as a form of lab rats to justify this program.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Bloomberg and other NYC officials used a shotgun to kill a fly by enacting prison-yard tactics in minority communities.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
A conservative magazine writer in the National Review in 2018 even apologized for initially supporting this program: “Today in New York City, use of stop-and-frisk, which the department justified via the 1968 Terry v. Ohio Supreme Court ruling, has crashed. Yet the statistics are clear: Crime is lower than ever. It\u2019s possible that crime would be even lower had stop-and-frisk been retained, but that\u2019s moving the goalposts. I and others argued that crime would rise. Instead, it fell. We were wrong.”<\/span><\/div>\n

Recently, presidential candidate Bloomberg apologized.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I fear Bloomberg will enact drastic federal policies and thumb his nose at the Constitution. Why?<\/span><\/div>\n
