WISCONSIN<\/strong> – The Police Chief of a Wisconsin town admitted to retaliating against a man after he spoke \u00a0out against a Town of Campbell city ordinance which prohibits citizens from displaying the American flag and wearing T-shirts that called for the impeachment of President Barack Obama on a pedestrian highway overpass managed by the town, according to the Thomas Moore Law Center web site.<\/p>\n

On Friday, the Town of Campbell put Police Chief Tim Kelemen on leave pending an investigation into possible illegal activity, according to ABC television affiliate WXOW in La Crosse.<\/a><\/p>\n

In addition to possible disciplinary charges in the Town of Campbell, Kelemen also faces possible criminal charges, the television station reported Thursday.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Thomas More Law Center , a public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, MI, represents Gregory Luce in a federal lawsuit challenging the Town of Campbell ordinance which it filed in January 2014.<\/p>\n

The lawsuit named the Town as well as\u00a0Kelemen and a police officer as defendants, according to the web site.<\/a><\/p>\n

On June 6, Thomas Moore officials stated that the Law Center’s lawyers amended their lawsuit after an investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff\u2019s investigators revealed that Chief Kelemen used his police department and home computers to sign Luce up for a series of unwanted solicitations including solicitations from homosexual oriented pornography and dating websites.\u00a0 Luce is a married, heterosexual man.<\/p>\n

Luce is also a Catholic and member of the Tea Party.\u00a0 He opposes President Obama on several issues, including the president\u2019s stance on abortion, according to the Thomas Moore Law Center.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
