In exchange for the bribes, according to the indictment,<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv9227493874MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Cisneros allegedly performed a series of official acts at the behest of Individual 1, including:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: center;\" type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"yiv9227493874MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst\">Accessing a DHS database for information about a German national identified as W.R., and telling Individual 1 he removed a \u201chit\u201d on W.R., \u201cthus indicating derogatory information had been removed\u201d;<\/li>\n<li class=\"yiv9227493874MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle\">Placing an alert in a law enforcement database for an address associated with an illegal marijuana grow operation so Cisneros could learn of law enforcement interest and warn Individual 1;<\/li>\n<li class=\"yiv9227493874MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle\">Obtaining an official DHS letter signed by an HSI assistant special agent in charge to allow the parole of Individual 1\u2019s brother-in-law into the United States from Mexico, and later providing updates about the brother-in-law\u2019s asylum application; and<\/li>\n<li class=\"yiv9227493874MsoListParagraphCxSpLast\">Collecting information on an associate of Individual 1 whose home had been searched by law enforcement and later providing Individual 1 with information about the investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"yiv9227493874MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Cisneros is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0LOS ANGELES\u00a0 Federal authorities on Tuesday arrested a former special agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) on federal bribery charges, officials stated.
