Police Officer Charged in Child Pornography Case<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0A Long Beach police officer has been charged with possessing and distributing child pornography, according to authorities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAny case involving the exploitation of a child is extremely disturbing, but it is particularly alarming when it involves a law enforcement officer,\u201d Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gasc\u00f3n said. \u201cWhen an officer violates their sworn oath to serve and protect the community, they will be held to account.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Anthony Mark Brown, 56, was charged with three felony counts of distribution of child pornography and one felony count of possession of child or youth pornography. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The case was filed Wednesday.\u00a0 Brown is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Between March 2019 and April 2020, the defendant is accused of possessing and sending child pornography images through a social media site, officials stated.<\/span><\/p>\n
