company \u2013 Klean Waters, Inc. \u2013 in a scheme that discharged untreated industrial wastes into an Orange County sewer system, among other violations of federal environmental laws, officials stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0406576244MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tim Miller, 64, of Wexford, Pennsylvania, along with Klean Waters, were named in a two-count indictment filed\u00a0 Wednesday. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0406576244MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The grand jury<a href=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/englishman-sentenced-16-years-traveling-ohio-sex-minor\/u-s-justice-dept\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1499\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1499 alignleft\" participating in a conspiracy and discharging without a permit into a publicly owned treatment works operated by the Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0406576244MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0 In the scheme dating back to the establishment of Klean Waters in 2012 and continuing for several years, officials stated Miller and his company allegedly did the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"yiv0406576244MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Discharged wastewater that was not pretreated according to federal standards<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"yiv0406576244MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Failed to perform self-monitoring and prepare accurate reports Made false statements about their discharges<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"yiv0406576244MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Tampered with monitoring devices put in place by the OCSD discharged untreated wastewater without a permit<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"yiv0406576244MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Prevented inspectors from reviewing company documents or collecting samples from the company\u2019s facility, according to the conspiracy charge in the indictment.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/sexual-harassment\/justice-scales\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4817\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4817 size-medium\" \u2013 including firefighting foam and various metals \u2013 or that simply never had been tested after being brought to the facility for treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0406576244MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span facing up to eight years in federal prison.
