Stepanyan and Chalikyan, who were both wearing masks during the attack, allegedly flung chairs at the victims while shouting derogatory slurs about Turkish people. Four of the five victims were of Turkish descent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv2597713856MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/man-admits-to-trying-to-smuggle-100-illegal-immigrants-inside-tractor-trailer\/cropped-courthouse-1-jpg\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-41022\"><img loading=\"lazy\" the defendants threatened to kill the victims, shouting: \u201cWe came to kill you!\u00a0 We will kill you!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv2597713856MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">During the attack, multiple victims were injured, including one individual who lost feeling in their legs and collapsed multiple times due to the injury, the indictment states. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv2597713856MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">After the victims escaped, Stepanyan and Chalikyan allegedly continued to destroy the restaurant, ultimately causing over $20,000 in damage, forcing the restaurant to close temporarily and causing thousands of dollars in lost revenue, officials stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv2597713856MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">If convicted, Stepanyan and Chalikyan each would face a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison for the hate crime charges and five years in prison for the
