{"id":48645,"date":"2021-12-11T17:00:33","date_gmt":"2021-12-12T01:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=48645"},"modified":"2021-12-11T17:00:33","modified_gmt":"2021-12-12T01:00:33","slug":"college-dean-who-allegedly-overbilled-employer-for-trips-will-be-arraigned-next-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=48645","title":{"rendered":"College Dean Who Allegedly Overbilled Employer for Trips Will be Arraigned Next Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>LOS ANGELES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0The dean of East Los Angeles College has been charged with overbilling his employer for trips he took, prosecutors stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6360 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/District-Attorney-Los-Angeles.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"282\" height=\"261\" \/>\u201cMy office will continue to strive to root out public corruption in order to make government clean,\u201d District Attorney George Gasc\u00f3n said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Paul DeLaCerda, 47, was charged this week with one felony count each of misappropriation of government funds and embezzlement of government funds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">He is expected to be arraigned on Jan. 7.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Between March 2017 and 2019, officials stated the defendant is accused of overbilling East Los Angeles College roughly $1,575 for several hotel stays. He allegedly forged documents he submitted for reimbursement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The case remains under investigation by the
