{"id":50365,"date":"2022-07-17T16:16:23","date_gmt":"2022-07-17T23:16:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=50365"},"modified":"2022-07-17T16:19:08","modified_gmt":"2022-07-17T23:19:08","slug":"minneapolis-man-allegedly-burned-down-camper-garage-on-fire-and-blamed-blm-and-antifa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=50365","title":{"rendered":"Minneapolis Man Allegedly Set Fire to His Camper, Garage and Blamed BLM and Antifa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"node-title\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">MINNEAPOLIS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"node-title\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">A Brooklyn Center man has been indicted for wire fraud after filing fraudulent insurance claims for a staged arson, prosecutors announced this week.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"field field--name-field-pr-body field--type-text-long field--label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field__items\">\n<div class=\"field__item even\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">According to court documents, on September 23, 2020, Denis Vladmirovich Molla, 29, falsely reported to law enforcement that someone had lit his camper on fire.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SkwDQ8dxPj0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div class=\"field__item even\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Molla reported that his garage door was vandalized with spray-painted graffiti stating \u201cBiden 2020,\u201d \u201cBLM,\u201d and an Antifa symbol and that his camper was targeted because it had a Trump 2020 flag displayed on it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">In reality, Molla started his own property on fire and spray-painted the graffiti on his own garage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">According to court documents, Molla submitted multiple insurance claims seeking coverage for the damage to his garage, camper, vehicles, and residence caused by the fire. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">When Molla\u2019s insurance company denied some of those claims, Molla submitted written complaints to the insurance company claiming that it was defrauding him and threatened to report the company to the Department of Commerce and to the Attorney General. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Molla also created and allowed others to create two GoFundMe accounts to benefit Molla and his family. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">In total, Molla submitted more than $300,000 in fraudulent insurance claims, and he received approximately $61,000 from his insurance company. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Molla also received more than $17,000 from individual donors via GoFundMe.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kyryMkx7awk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div class=\"field__items\">\n<div class=\"field__item even\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Molla is charged with two counts of wire fraud. Molla is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">This case is the result of an investigation conducted by the FBI and the Brooklyn Center Police Department.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Assistant U.S. Attorneys Angela M. Munoz and Kimberly A.
