Eric Huxley<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p id=\"node-title\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">A federal grand jury in Indianapolis, Indiana, returned an indictment Tuesday charging an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department sergeant with violating the civil rights of an arrestee by using excessive force, officials stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"field field--name-field-pr-body field--type-text-long field--label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field__items\">\n<div class=\"field__item even\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Sgt. Eric Huxley, 44, is charged with one count of deprivation of rights under color of law. Huxley is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MjkRgRA37NA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">The indictment alleges that on or about Sept. 24, 2021. Sergeant Huxley, wearing shoes, stomped an arrestee identified as Jermaine Vaughn in the head and face.
