\"\"A former USC football player has been charged with raping two women from the University of Southern California and the University of California, Los Angeles, according to officials.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSexual assault is a heinous crime that cannot be tolerated,\u201d District Attorney George Gasc\u00f3n said. \u201cThese brave women made the difficult decision to come forward and report their assault, now it\u2019s our turn to ensure that justice is done. We will do everything we can to hold the person responsible accountable for his actions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Joshua Fred James Jackson Jr., 22, was arrested today and charged with one felony count of forcible sexual penetration and three felony counts of forcible rape.<\/span><\/p>\n

The case was filed for warrant on June 6.<\/span><\/p>\n

In March 2023, Jackson Jr. allegedly raped a classmate at her USC apartment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jackson Jr. also is accused of raping a UCLA student sometime between June 1 and September 1, 2020, at his apartment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The case is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department. <\/span><\/p>\n
