Olguin sentenced Evan Baltierra, 30, of Trabuco Canyon. The judge also ordered him to pay $2,544 in restitution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Baltierra pleaded guilty in July 2022 to one count of stalking. He has been in federal custody since his arrest in September 2022 for violating the terms of his pretrial release by continuing to harass the victim.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Baltierra met the victim, a prominent professional gamer, at a gaming convention in Anaheim in November 2019. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">After this meeting, Baltierra asked to meet the victim in her hometown in Canada, which made her feel uncomfortable. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-53575 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/th-12-300x178.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/th-12-300x178.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/th-12.jpg 304w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>After the victim blocked Baltierra on various social media accounts, Baltierra created hundreds of social media accounts to send the victim threatening messages. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">One message sent to the victim via Twitter in January 2021 read in part, \u201c[t]imes ticking\u2026waiting for the right opportunity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In October 2020, Baltierra hired an unknown third party to create multiple images of the victim that placed her face onto pornographic images. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-53576 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/th-10.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"257\" \/>From November 2020 to March 2022, Baltierra posted photoshopped images to multiple pornographic websites and internet forums. He also sent the images to the victim\u2019s friends and family. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">Baltierra also posted links to the images on various social media websites and told others online to search for the victim\u2019s name to see naked pictures of her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The victim obtained a temporary restraining order against Baltierra in January 2021. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-53467 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/9z9fxr_7z-k-214x300.jpg\" alt=\"brown mallet on gray wooden surface\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/9z9fxr_7z-k-214x300.jpg 214w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/9z9fxr_7z-k-731x1024.jpg 731w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/9z9fxr_7z-k-768x1075.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/9z9fxr_7z-k.jpg 857w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 214px) 100vw, 214px\" \/>After the protective order was served on him, Baltierra began posting the victim\u2019s personal information \u2013 including her real name and city of residence, which were listed on the protective order \u2013 to social media websites and during her live video game streams. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">Baltierra also posted the victim\u2019s Twitter handle to pornographic websites and the photoshopped nude images he had created.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 During the victim\u2019s live streams of video games, Baltierra used multiple accounts to post harassing messages continually. Baltierra\u2019s spamming of the victim forced her to stop streaming in February 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-11000 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/fbi-BADGE-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/fbi-BADGE-300x300.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/fbi-BADGE-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/fbi-BADGE.jpeg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>In June 2021, two months after Baltierra and the victim reached a settlement in which he agreed to not contact her or her associates in exchange for the victim dissolving the temporary restraining order, Baltierra called the victim\u2019s local police department. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">In that phone call, Baltierra requested the police conduct a welfare check of the victim by lying to the police that the victim had made online threats to commit suicide. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">During that phone call, Baltierra also attempted to obtain the victim\u2019s home address. The police responded to the victim\u2019s home in response to Baltierra\u2019s call.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">From January 2022 to March 2022, Baltierra sent threatening messages to the victim via various social media accounts, including one message that read, \u201cget a casket ready.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">In March 2022, Baltierra wrote a letter to the parents of the victim\u2019s boyfriend, which stated, in part, that the situation was going to end badly for her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">Baltierra continued to harass the victim after the FBI searched his residence after he was criminally charged in this case, and after he pleaded guilty to a felony offense and was free on bond pending sentencing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">\u201cBaltierra continued to post fake nude photographs of [the victim] and appeared to attempt to contact her online, leading to his arrest in September of 2022,\u201d prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memorandum.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">The FBI investigated this matter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 20px;\">Assistant U.S. Attorney Jake D. Nare of the Santa Ana Branch Office prosecuted this case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0105963280MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:
