font-size: 18px;\">The sale resulted in the boy\u2019s fatal overdose the following day, the Justice Department stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1531412576MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Kyle Thomas Overby, 22, of Temecula, was arrested on Friday and was arraigned that day on the nine-count indictment, which a grand jury returned on August 9. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1531412576MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">He pleaded not guilty to the charges, and a bond of $750,000 was set.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1531412576MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Overby is charged with one count of distribution of fentanyl to a person under the age of 21, resulting in death, seven counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, and one count of knowingly possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1531412576MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 According to the indictment, on May 4, Overby knowingly an intentionally distributed fentanyl to the victim \u2013 identified in court documents as \u201cL.B.\u201d The following day, L.B., who was 17 years old, died after ingesting the fentanyl.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1531412576MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5906 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/U.S.-Department-of-Justice.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/U.S.-Department-of-Justice.jpg 200w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/U.S.-Department-of-Justice-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Overby allegedly also possessed with the intent to distribute multiple controlled substances, including 201 grams of fentanyl, nearly one kilogram of cocaine, MDMA, and alprazolam (also known by its brand name, Xanax).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1531412576MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On June 5, Overby allegedly possessed multiple firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1531412576MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">Specifically, he is charged with possessing three firearms lacking serial numbers, commonly called \u201cghost guns\u201d \u2013 a 9mm pistol and two .40-caliber pistols.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1531412576MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">\u00a0If convicted of all charges, Overby faces up to life in prison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv1531412576MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
