He pleaded not guilty on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Orange County judge confessed to coworkers after fatally shooting wife, prosecutors say\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kcn7A4dFhMg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Ferguson has served as an Orange County Superior Court Judge since 2015. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Before being elected to the Orange County Superior Court, he served as a prosecutor in the Orange County District Attorney\u2019s Office beginning in 1983.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Upon filing criminal charges against Ferguson, the Orange County District Attorney\u2019s Office has filed a bail motion asking to advance Ferguson\u2019s arraignment to Tuesday to request a series of additional conditions to his bail to protect public safety and ensure Ferguson\u2019s appearance at trial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Among the District Attorney&#8217;s Office concerns is the fact that a .22 rifle legally registered to Ferguson remains unaccounted for despite police recovering 47 other weapons \u2013 including rifles, shotguns, and handguns, and more than 26,000 rounds of ammunition \u2013 from his home during the execution of a search warrant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"> Another rifle, initially missed by police, was subsequently located in the home and turned over to police by defense counsel, but the whereabouts of the .22 rifle remain unknown.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Due to the great concern for public safety, the additional non-monetary bail conditions being requested by the District Attorney are the following conditions:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">1. Surrender passport to the court<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">2. Consent to revocation of Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) permit<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">3. Possess no firearm of any kind, and no ammunition of any kind<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">4. Submit to search and seizure<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">5. Remain in Orange County, Riverside County, or Los Angeles County<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">6. Wear at all times, and make no effort to tamper with, an ankle bracelet with GPS coordinates, progress to be monitored by the Probation Department<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">7. Do not enter the property line of any airport<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">8. Have no contact with his son who was present during the homicide, except t<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">hrough counsel of recor<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">9. Consume no alcohol<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">10.
