Kennedy Airport on May 18. Garland. \u201cAs alleged, Rui-Siang Lin was the architect of Incognito, a $100 million dark web scheme to traffic deadly drugs to the United States and around the world. The long arm of the law extends to the dark web, and we will bring to justice those who try to hide their crimes there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">As alleged in the complaint and the indictment, Incognito Market was an online narcotics bazaar that existed on the dark web. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Incognito Market was formed in October 2020. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Since that time, and through its closing in March, Incognito Market has sold more than $100 million of narcotics \u2014 including hundreds of kilograms of cocaine and methamphetamines. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Incognito Market was available globally to anyone with internet access and could be accessed using the Tor web browser on the \u201cdark web\u201d or \u201cdarknet.\u201d Lin operated the Incognito market under the online pseudonym \u201cPharoah\u201d or \u201cfaro.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">As \u201cPharoah\u201d \u2014 the leader of Incognito market \u2014 Lin supervised all of its operations, including its employees, vendors, and customers, and had ultimate decision-making authority over every aspect of the multimillion-dollar operation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-229 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/FBI-300x165.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"165\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/FBI-300x165.png 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/FBI.png 615w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>\u201cFor nearly four years, Rui-Siang Lin allegedly operated \u2018Incognito Market,\u2019 one of the largest online platforms for narcotics sales, conducting $100 million in illicit narcotics transactions and reaped millions of dollars in personal profits,\u201d said Assistant Director in Charge James Smith of the FBI New York Field Office. \u201cUnder the promise of anonymity, Lin\u2019s alleged operation offered the purchase of lthal drugs and fraudulent prescription medication on a global scale.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15321 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/DEA-IMAGE-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/DEA-IMAGE-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/DEA-IMAGE.jpg 540w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>\u201cThis arrest underscores the dedicated, ongoing efforts of law enforcement to identify and dismantle illicit drug networks operating from every shadowy recess of the marketplace,\u201d said Commissioner Edward A. Lin collected millions of dollars of profits from Incognito. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">To facilitate these financial transactions, Incognito Market had its own \u201cbank,\u201d which allowed its users to deposit cryptocurrency on the site into their own \u201cbank accounts.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">After a narcotics transaction was completed, cryptocurrency from the buyer\u2019s \u201cbank account\u201d was transferred to the seller\u2019s \u201cbank account,\u201d less the 5% fee that Incognito collected. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The bank enabled buyers and sellers to stay anonymous from each other.
