Fischer sentenced Lackner, a 35-year-old resident of Northridge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4963453145MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lackner pleaded guilty on January 29 to one count of stalking. He has been in federal custody since December 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4963453145MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">From June 2021 to October 2022, Lackner sent a series of abusive text messages to the victim. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4963453145MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-56016 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/GAVEL-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/GAVEL-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/GAVEL-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/GAVEL-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/GAVEL-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/GAVEL-850x850.jpg 850w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/GAVEL.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>In these messages, Lackner directed a series of antisemitic remarks to the victim, including, \u201cHitler was right about you people,\u201d \u201cI want to see every single Jew exterminated from this earth,&#8221; and \u201cWould you like to celebrate the next synagogue shooting?\u201d and \u201cI will make sure I kill a Jew before I leave this Earth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4963453145MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Lackner also texted the victim multiple racist statements against Asian Americans, including \u201cWe need to start more Asian hate and \u201cwipe [Asian people] off the planet too.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4963453145MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The text messages Lackner sent the victim placed her in reasonable fear of death and serious bodily injury to herself or one of her immediate family members.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4963453145MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u201cHate and intolerance, including antisemitism, is both wrong and anti-American,\u201d said United States Attorney Martin Estrada. \u201cOur nation is one of inclusion, not exclusion, and through this case, we send a strong message that we will not tolerate attempts to divide us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4963453145MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u201cThe defendant admitted to stalking victims based on either their religion or their race by making vile threats for more than a year,\u201d said Krysti Hawkins, the Acting Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI&#8217;s Los Angeles Field Office. \u201cToday&#8217;s sentence is evidence that there is zero tolerance for criminal activity rooted in hatred, and of the FBI&#8217;s commitment to holding accountable those who seek to threaten or harm innocent victims.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4963453145MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The FBI investigated this matter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv4963453145MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Assistant U.S. Attorney Amanda B.
