Socialite Rebecca Grossman Sentenced to 15 Years to Life for DUI that Killed Two Young Brothers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0Rebecca Grossman was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison with the possibility of parole in state prison, officials announced Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u201cToday, the court delivered its sentence in the tragic case involving the deaths of Mark and Jacob Iskander, who lost their lives because of Ms. Grossman\u2019s reckless actions,\u201d District Attorney Gasc\u00f3n said. \u201cWhile we respect the judicial process, we are deeply disappointed with the outcome of today\u2019s sentencing. Our office recommended that Ms. Grossman be sentenced to 34 years to life in prison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rebecca Grossman sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for fatal 2020 crash\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kDXcDHM2RHI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">On February 23, 2024, a jury found Rebecca Grossman, 60, of Hidden Hills, guilty of the following charges:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">One felony count of murder and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence for the death of 11-year-old Mark Iskander.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">One felony count of murder and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence for the death of 8-year-old Jacob Iskander.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">One felony count of hit-and-run driving resulting in death.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Grossman was ordered to pay $47,161.89 to the victims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15639 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Los-Angeles-County-Sheriffs-Department-300x234.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"234\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Los-Angeles-County-Sheriffs-Department-300x234.png 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Los-Angeles-County-Sheriffs-Department-45x35.png 45w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Los-Angeles-County-Sheriffs-Department.png 506w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department investigated this case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u201cThe loss of these two innocent lives has devastated their family and our community. Ms. Grossman\u2019s blatant disregard for human life is a stark reminder of the grave consequences of irresponsible behavior behind the wheel. Our office pursued this case with the intent to seek justice for the victims and their loved ones, advocating for a sentence that would reflect the severity of the crime.
