{"id":56701,"date":"2024-06-14T15:04:40","date_gmt":"2024-06-14T22:04:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=56701"},"modified":"2024-06-14T15:06:21","modified_gmt":"2024-06-14T22:06:21","slug":"three-florida-residents-guilty-of-threatening-workers-of-pregnancy-centers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=56701","title":{"rendered":"Three Florida Residents Guilty of Threatening Workers of Pregnancy Centers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3918 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice-300x300.png\" alt=\"Two Men Arrested for Allegedly Operating One of the Largest Synthetic Drug Smuggling Rings\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice.png 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Three Florida residents pleaded guilty Friday to threatening and intimidating employees of pregnancy resource centers, according to officials.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The centers have the free exercise of the right to provide and seek to provide reproductive health services. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The defendants selected reproductive health facilities that provided and counseled abortion alternatives and vandalized those facilities with threatening messages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">According to court documents, between May and July 2022, Caleb Freestone, Amber Smith-Stewart, and Annarella Rivera engaged in a series of targeted attacks on pro-life pregnancy help centers in Florida.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"> The defendants admitted they participated in the attack in the dark of night and, while wearing masks and dark clothing to obscure their identities, spray painted the facilities with threatening messages, including \u201cIf abortions aren\u2019t safe than niether [sic] are you,\u201d \u201cYOUR TIME IS UP!!,\u201d \u201cWE\u2019RE COMING for U\u201d and \u201cWe are everywhere.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u201cThe FBI works diligently to safeguard the civil rights of our citizens,\u201d said Acting Special Agent in Charge Rodney Crawford of the FBI Tampa Field Office. \u201cWe and our law enforcement partners will not tolerate those who conspire to attack facilities providing these lawful reproductive health services.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">A sentencing hearing will be scheduled at a later date.
