\"\"\"\"\"JusticeAccording to the NYT story, two people familiar with the efforts to persuade Cannon to step down shared the details with the Times under the condition of anonymity.<\/span><\/p>\n

The federal rule is clear: Federal statute 28 U.S.C. 137 allows a federal chief judge the authority to reassign cases, including criminal cases, if they believe justice is best served by doing so.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the federal statu<\/span>te, cases can be reassigned to judges with specific expertise or experience in certain criminal matters.<\/span><\/p>\n

This authority by the chief justice to reassign cases is derived from the court’s inherent powers:<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s become too obvious that Judge Cannon is inexperienced and incompetent to preside over a complex, high-profile case.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, Cannon is running a rigged game in plain sight by concocting delays and slowdowns, and more glaring are her rulings, which have no basis in fact or law.<\/span><\/p>\n

Isn’t it any wonder the American People have lost confidence in the judicial system?<\/span><\/p>\n

The chief justice in Florida must pull the plug on this mockery of the American Justice system by Trump appointee who is woefully failing to uphold the integrity and independence of the judiciary and by avoiding any appearance of impropriety.<\/span><\/p>\n
