A Sept. 17 trial was scheduled. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Rouse made his initial appearance Tuesday in federal court in Kansas City, Missouri. Spencer is expected to be arraigned in federal court in Los Angeles tomorrow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv3121304975MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u201cViolent gun crime leaves lasting emotional and psychological scars for victims,\u201d said U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada. \u201cAnyone thinking that violent robberies are a good way to make money should take note that there will be consequences for your actions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv3121304975MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">According to the indictment, from November 4, 2023, to December 24, 2023, the defendants committed a series of armed robberies, mostly of 7-Eleven stores in South Los Angeles. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv3121304975MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">One victimized store was a CVS in Hollywood. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv3121304975MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-56143 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/law-and-justice-theme-gavel-of-the-judge-and-the-scale-on-court-library-background-stockpack-adobe-stock-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Law and justice theme. 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The defendants traveled to the targeted stores in a BMW, jumped over the counters, took money from the stores\u2019 cash registers, and placed it in a black Nike bag. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv3121304975MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">One of the defendants, usually either Christopher or Leonard, allegedly pointed a firearm at a store employee or customer and demanded either their cell phone or their wallet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv3121304975MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">On November 28, 2023, following the robbery of a 7-Eleven store in South Los Angeles earlier that day, Leonard posted a photograph on Instagram with stacks of cash, captioned his post \u201clove my bros we go hit every time,\u201d and tagged the Instagram accounts of Christopher and Spencer, the indictment alleges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv3121304975MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">In total, the defendants allegedly netted approximately $7,617 in cash during the crime spree.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure
