{"id":57328,"date":"2024-08-23T18:16:36","date_gmt":"2024-08-24T01:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=57328"},"modified":"2024-08-23T18:17:49","modified_gmt":"2024-08-24T01:17:49","slug":"feds-man-indicted-for-allegedly-creating-extremely-violent-animal-crush-videos-depicting-monkeys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=57328","title":{"rendered":"Feds: Man Indicted for Allegedly Creating Extremely Violent &#8220;Animal Crush&#8221; Videos Depicting Monkeys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1958 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/U.S.-Fish-and-Wildlife-Service-252x300.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"300\" \/>An indictment was unsealed Friday in which an individual was charged based on his involvement with online groups dedicated to creating and distributing videos depicting acts of extreme violence and sexual abuse against monkeys.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Philip Colt Moss, of Iowa, was charged with conspiracy to create and distribute so-called \u201canimal crush videos,\u201d and with distributing animal crush videos. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">According to court documents, in March and April 2023, Moss allegedly conspired with Nicholas Dryden and Giancarlo Morelli to create and distribute videos depicting acts of sadistic violence against baby, adolescent, and adult monkeys. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Dryden and Morelli were previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/two-charged-involvement-online-groups-dedicated-monkey-torture-and-mutilation\">indicted<\/a> and are awaiting trial.\u00a0 Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-595 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/FBI-IMAGE-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"FBI Photo\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/FBI-IMAGE-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/FBI-IMAGE-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/FBI-IMAGE-1024x1021.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The videos alleged to have been created as part of the conspiracy included depictions of monkeys having their genitals burned, having their genitals cut with scissors, being sodomized with a wooden skewer, and being sodomized with a spoon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">If convicted, Moss faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison for the conspiracy charge and a maximum penalty of seven years in prison for the charges related to the creation and distribution of animal crush videos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Assistant Attorney General Todd Kim of the Justice Department\u2019s Environment and Natural Resources Division and U.S. Attorney Kenneth L.
