They vandalized these facilities with threatening messages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Court documents reveal the trio carried out the attacks at night, wearing masks and dark clothing to conceal their identities. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3918 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice-300x300.png\" alt=\"Two Men Arrested for Allegedly Operating One of the Largest Synthetic Drug Smuggling Rings\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice.png 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>They spray-painted messages like &#8220;If abortions aren\u2019t safe, neither are you,&#8221; &#8220;YOUR TIME IS UP,&#8221; and &#8220;We\u2019re coming for you.&#8221; The defendants pleaded guilty to a civil rights conspiracy on June 14.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u201cThese defendants admitted that they conspired to paint threatening messages on crisis pregnancy centers, based on the defendants\u2019 objection to the services those centers offered,\u201d said Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department\u2019s Civil Rights Division. \u201cViolence and threats of violence have no place in our national discourse on reproductive health. The Justice Department is committed to protecting the right to access reproductive health care and prosecuting anyone who interferes with that right.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Smith-Stewart and Rivera were also each sentenced Thursday to 30 days in prison and 60 days in home detention, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The FBI Tampa Field Office investigated the case, with assistance from the Miami Police Department.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Trial Attorney Laura-Kate Bernstein of the Civil Rights Division\u2019s Criminal Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Courtney Derry for the Middle District
