No one is above the law, and we will pursue justice in this case to maintain the public\u2019s faith in those who serve and protect.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Garo Garabedian, 42, is charged with two felony counts of assault under the color of authority, according to authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">On May 29, 2023, at approximately 6 p.m., LAPD Officer Garabedian, along with other officers, responded to a domestic violence incident at a residence in the city of Los Angeles. While arresting a male suspect, Garabedian allegedly assaulted him, resulting in serious injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Garabedian faces up to six years and eight months in prison if convicted as charged.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">According to officials, the Los Angeles Police Department is looking into the case and LADA&#8217;s Justice System Integrity Division is prosecuting
