He also testified that the conspirators strategized about assassinating FBI employees in their homes and in public places such as movie theaters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">At trial, prosecutors introduced recordings of the defendant calling for the development of a \u201ccourse of action\u201d related to his plan. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">In one such recording, the defendant gave the instructions to, among other things, \u201cstart it,\u201d \u201cattack,\u201d and \u201ctake out their office\u201d in the event of his arrest.\u00a0 Kelley was recorded stating, &#8220;Every hit has to hurt. The investigation was led by the FBI and involved the assistance of FBI offices from across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Kelley is scheduled to be sentenced on May 7, 2025, and faces up to life in prison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Assistant U.S. Attorneys Casey T.
