Guidry<\/strong>, 32, of Houston, Texas<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>Caira Y. Osby<\/strong>, 44, of Houston, Texas<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>Dazai S. Harris<\/strong>, 34, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>Edward D. Peebles<\/strong>, 35, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mb-2 flex gap-3 empty:hidden -ml-2\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">As alleged in the indictment, the defendants were members of a long-running money laundering organization operating since approximately November 2016 in and around Tennessee, Texas, and across the country. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-39979 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/judge-gavel-300x160.jpg\" alt=\"West Virginia Woman Took Top Secrets, Committed Kidnapping\" width=\"392\" height=\"209\" \/>The conspirators allegedly structured the organization so that recruiters or &#8220;herders,\u201d recruited and directed participants or \u201cmoney mules\u201d<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>to launder money obtained from internet frauds that targeted businesses and individuals in the United States and abroad. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The defendants allegedly used sham and front companies to conceal the fraud proceeds and enrich the members of the conspiracy. The conspiracy is alleged to have agreed to launder more than $20 million in fraud proceeds, officials stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Nicole M. Argentieri, head of the Justice Department\u2019s Criminal Division; Acting U.S. Attorney Thomas J. Jaworski for the Middle District of Tennessee; and Assistant Director Chad Yarbrough of the FBI Criminal Investigative Division made the announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The defendants each face a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison if convicted.
