Murphy, 51, of Hanson, pleaded guilty Wednesday to nine counts of possessing dogs for use in dogfighting, a violation of the federal Animal Welfare Act. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">He was indicted in March by a federal grand jury. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u201cDogfighting is a cruel and sadistic crime,\u201d said Assistant Attorney General Todd Kim of the Justice Department\u2019s Environment and Natural Resources Division. \u201cThis case highlights the dedication of investigators and prosecutors to holding offenders accountable.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">U.S. Attorney Joshua S.
