J.H. turned away, at which point Kirk grabbed J.H. by her arm, hooked his left hand behind her neck, and violently threw her face-first to the ground. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv6279140734MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">While on the ground, Kirk yelled at J.H. to \u201cget on the ground,\u201d and she told him that \u201cIt\u2019s already on YouTube Live,\u201d implying her video of Kirk and the other deputy handcuffing D.B. had already been shared on social media.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv6279140734MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15639 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Los-Angeles-County-Sheriffs-Department-300x234.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"234\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Los-Angeles-County-Sheriffs-Department-300x234.png 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Los-Angeles-County-Sheriffs-Department-45x35.png 45w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Los-Angeles-County-Sheriffs-Department.png 506w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/> Kirk then placed his knee on J.H.\u2019s shoulder, and when J.H. yelled for Kirk to \u201cstop,\u201d Kirk cocked his right arm back with a clenched fist and said, \u201cStop or you\u2019re gonna get punched in the face.\u201d Kirk then pressed his knee into J.H.\u2019s neck, and she said, \u201cGet your neck [sic] off my\u2026 off my\u2026 I can\u2019t breathe.\u201d While on top of J.H., Kirk used his LASD radio to give a misleading report that he was in a \u201cfight.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv6279140734MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Without giving any additional commands to J.H., Kirk pepper-sprayed her twice in the face. While Kirk pepper sprayed J.H., her hands were holding only prescription sunglasses and a cloth surgical mask.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv6279140734MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"> J.H. received medical attention for her injuries sustained from the pepper spray and from being thrown to the ground. J.H. was treated for blunt-force head trauma and injuries to her head, arms, and wrist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv6279140734MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson scheduled an April 21 sentencing hearing. Kirk faces up to 10 years in federal prison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv6279140734MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The FBI investigated this matter.
