\u201cFor at least five years, Edgar Fabian Villasenor-Garcia took up arms to carry out the CJNG\u2019s criminal activities, including trafficking enormous amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine into the United States,\u201d said Supervisory Official Antoinette T. Bacon of the Justice Department\u2019s Criminal Division. \u201cThese highly addictive drugs and the violence associated with the CJNG\u2019s criminal operations have devastated communities in the United States, Mexico, and elsewhere.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Edgar Fabian Villasenor-Garcia, 54, also known as Gary and El Monje, trafficked at least 450 kg of cocaine and 780 kg of meth into the U.S. for the CJNG, one of Mexico\u2019s most violent drug cartels. The CJNG traffics massive amounts of drugs, funds violence with its profits, and devastates communities, according to authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Villasenor-Garcia joined the CJNG before 2017 and carried a firearm for its criminal activities. In November 2024, he pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy charges, admitting the cartel used violence and weapons to protect drugs, control members, fight rivals, and evade law enforcement, officials stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

The DEA Los Angeles Field Division investigated the case.<\/span><\/p>\n
