A Media Matters report<\/a> highlights how MAGA media, particularly Fox News, is scrambling to defend Trump\u2019s tariffs\u2014even as they send the stock market into a tailspin.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"\"This is a serious problem. Trump\u2019s fundamental ignorance of how tariffs work is set to trigger job losses and rising prices, hurting the very people who support him.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Fox, meanwhile, is desperately trying to convince its viewers that Trump\u2019s Tariff Pig will fly\u2014because an economic downturn spells disaster for the network. A collapsing economy means fewer viewers, lower ratings, and declining profits.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
And here\u2019s the real kicker: as jobs disappear and wallets tighten, even Fox\u2019s loyal audience will start connecting the dots. They\u2019ll realize they were misled\u2014Fox lied, Trump wrecked the economy, and democracy is in peril.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"\"This reckoning will be brutal for Fox, especially given its recent legal troubles. After settling a $787 million defamation lawsuit with Dominion for spreading lies about the 2020 election, the network now faces another massive case from Smartmatic.
