He\u2019s accused of possessing dogs for use in animal fighting ventures and of selling, transporting, and delivering a dog for the same purpose.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 21px;\">If convicted, Johnson faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each count.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"715\" data-end=\"1057\"><span style=\"font-size: 21px;\">Federal agents seized the dogs in October 2024 under the Animal Welfare Act. According to court records, Johnson ran a large-scale dog fighting operation under the name \u201cMal Kant Kennels\u201d in Broken Arrow and Haskell, Oklahoma. He had previously pleaded guilty to state charges in 2004 for running another operation called \u201cKrazyside Kennels.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1059\" data-end=\"1258\"><span style=\"font-size: 21px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6328 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/FBI-Logo-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"La Cosa Nostra Convicted Felon Admits to Drug, Prostitution and Weapons Charges\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/FBI-Logo-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/FBI-Logo-45x35.jpg 45w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/FBI-Logo.jpg 534w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Authorities say Johnson bred and sold so-called \u201cchampion\u201d and \u201cgrand champion\u201d fighting dogs with multiple wins and profited by marketing their bloodlines to other dog fighters nationwide.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1428\" data-end=\"1589\"><span style=\"font-size: 21px;\">FBI Director Kash Patel called dog fighting \u201ca twisted form of entertainment\u201d and noted the bureau treats such cruelty as a potential gateway to organized crime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1591\" data-end=\"1819\"><span style=\"font-size: 21px;\">Acting Assistant Attorney General Adam Gustafson of the Justice Department\u2019s Environment and Natural Resources Division said the seizure of 190 dogs \u201cdisrupts a major source\u201d of animals trafficked into other fighting operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1821\" data-end=\"1937\"><span style=\"font-size: 21px;\">U.S. Attorney Christopher J.
