Hochman said. \u201cOur sympathy goes out to the family and loved ones of this young girl, whose life was cut short far too soon.\u200b We are committed to seeking justice through a thorough and fair prosecution and ensuring that the legal process honors the memory of the child and supports the healing of her family.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"587\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Castellanos pleaded not guilty at her arraignment. A preliminary hearing is set for June 17 in Van Nuys. Bail was set at $2 million, according to officials.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"589\" data-end=\"747\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">If convicted, she faces 25 years to life in prison. Deputy DA MacKenzie Teymouri is prosecuting the case, which is being investigated by LAPD\u2019s Juvenile Division.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"838\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven
