Cheltenham was cited for housing residents in pest-infested conditions; Wilmington and Samaritan allegedly failed to maintain proper care plans and assessments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"811\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">\u201cNursing homes are expected to provide their residents, which include some of our most vulnerable citizens, with quality care and to treat them with dignity and respect,\u201d said Deputy Assistant Attorney General Brenna Jenny of the Justice Department&#8217;s Civil Division. \u201cThe Department will not tolerate nursing homes \u2014 or their owners or managing entities \u2014 abdicating these responsibilities and seeking taxpayer funds to which they are not entitled.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"980\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">As part of the settlement, AHF also entered into a five-year Corporate Integrity Agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services to improve care and safety.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"982\" data-end=\"1225\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The case, <em data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1042\">United States v. American Health Foundation Inc.<\/em> (Case No. 2:22-cv-02344, E.D. Pa.), was handled by the DOJ\u2019s Fraud Section and HHS\u2019s Office of Inspector General. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"982\" data-end=\"1225\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The settlement resolves allegations only; no liability was
