The group allegedly followed it for 300 miles to rest stops in Buttonwillow and Lebec, where they stole 24 bags while the truck was parked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1547\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Following the theft, several suspects deactivated their cell phones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1549\" data-end=\"1606\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong data-start=\"1549\" data-end=\"1574\">Other Alleged Crimes:<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"1574\" data-end=\"1577\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The group is also accused of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1607\" data-end=\"1907\">\n<li data-start=\"1607\" data-end=\"1680\">\n<p data-start=\"1609\" data-end=\"1680\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Stealing <strong data-start=\"1618\" data-end=\"1653\">$240,573 in Samsung electronics<\/strong> in March 2022 in Ontario<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1681\" data-end=\"1797\">\n<p data-start=\"1683\" data-end=\"1797\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Robbing a box truck driver of <strong data-start=\"1713\" data-end=\"1741\">$57,377 in Apple AirTags<\/strong>, with one suspect threatening the driver with a knife<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1798\" data-end=\"1907\">\n<p data-start=\"1800\" data-end=\"1907\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Attempting a break-in and successfully stealing <strong data-start=\"1848\" data-end=\"1882\">$14,081 in Samsung electronics<\/strong> in Fontana in May 2022<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1909\" data-end=\"2089\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong data-start=\"1909\" data-end=\"1923\">Penalties:<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"1923\" data-end=\"1926\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">If convicted, the robbery charges carry <strong data-start=\"1966\" data-end=\"1984\">up to 20 years<\/strong> in prison.
