During the transaction, Vandenberg requested assistance in selecting fireworks that could be thrown directly at people to cause harm. He bought six mortars\u2014each with 60 grams of gunpowder\u2014and 36 large fireworks before driving west on I-10 in a vehicle with Montana plates, according to court documents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"407\" data-end=\"618\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Vandenberg is charged with transporting explosives across state lines with the intent to kill, injure, or intimidate.
