Medi-Cal paid out <strong data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"706\">over $178 million<\/strong> for these fraudulent claims between <strong data-start=\"743\" data-end=\"770\">May 2022 and April 2023<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"773\" data-end=\"1059\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">He and co-conspirators \u2014 <strong data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"821\">Kyrollos Mekail, 37<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"827\" data-end=\"852\">Patricia Anderson, 57<\/strong> \u2014 allegedly used <strong data-start=\"870\" data-end=\"906\">kickbacks and laundering tactics<\/strong> to conceal profits and pay off participants. Randall was ordered <strong data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"995\">jailed without bond<\/strong> after his court appearance; arraignment is set for <strong data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1058\">July 17<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" title=\"\" data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1285\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">This case is part of the <strong data-start=\"1086\" data-end=\"1130\">2025 National Health Care Fraud Takedown<\/strong>, which charged <strong data-start=\"1146\" data-end=\"1175\">324 defendants nationwide<\/strong>, including nearly 100 medical professionals, with schemes totaling <strong data-start=\"1243\" data-end=\"1265\">over $14.6 billion<\/strong> in intended losses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" title=\"\" data-start=\"1287\" data-end=\"1426\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Authorities also seized <strong data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1337\">$245 million in assets<\/strong>, revoked <strong data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1374\">205 provider privileges<\/strong>, and blocked <strong data-start=\"1388\" data-end=\"1425\">$4 billion in fraudulent payments<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1428\" data-end=\"1527\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong data-start=\"1428\" data-end=\"1457\">Mekail has pleaded guilty<\/strong> and awaits sentencing. <strong data-start=\"1481\" data-end=\"1505\">Anderson was charged<\/strong> separately last week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" title=\"\" data-start=\"1529\" data-end=\"1619\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The investigation is ongoing, led by <strong data-start=\"1566\" data-end=\"1577\">Health and Human Services&#8217; Office of the Inspector General<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1583\" data-end=\"1590\">FBI<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start=\"1600\" data-end=\"1618\">California Department of
