Both held flashy global events\u2014including projecting the OmegaPro logo onto Dubai\u2019s Burj Khalifa\u2014to create a false image of legitimacy and luxury.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"936\" data-end=\"1126\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">They also flaunted wealth on social media, showcasing designer clothes, exotic trips, and luxury cars. The scheme raised more than $650 million in cryptocurrency from thousands of investors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1128\" data-end=\"1337\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Following a reported network hack in late 2022, Reynoso assured investors that their funds would be transferred to a new platform, Broker Group. Victims, however, were unable to access their funds from either platform.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1339\" data-end=\"1526\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Funds were allegedly funneled through digital wallets controlled by OmegaPro leaders, then laundered through insiders and top promoters. Sims and Reynoso each allegedly pocketed millions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1528\" data-end=\"1675\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Both face charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of 20
