Bullets struck areas where children had recently been or were sleeping.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Feds charge Solomon Pe\u00f1a, accomplices with election interference\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SWQx8IowB6I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>(News13 News Report \u2014 Two Years ago)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"638\" data-end=\"829\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Behind bars, Pe\u00f1a tried to have both gunmen murdered to silence them. He was convicted on March 23, 2025, of conspiracy, firearms charges, intimidation, and solicitation to commit violence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"38\" data-end=\"150\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Upon release, Pe\u00f1a will serve three years of supervised release and must pay restitution plus a $250,000 fine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"152\" data-end=\"453\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Accomplice Jose Trujillo received 37 months after pleading guilty to conspiracy, interference with federally protected activities, firearms charges, and fentanyl trafficking. Demetrio Trujillo got 15 years for conspiracy, interference, and multiple firearms offenses, including discharging a weapon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"570\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The sentences were announced by U.S. Attorney Ryan Ellison and FBI Acting Special Agent in Charge Philip
