{"id":59481,"date":"2025-08-18T14:29:52","date_gmt":"2025-08-18T21:29:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=59481"},"modified":"2025-08-18T14:29:52","modified_gmt":"2025-08-18T21:29:52","slug":"california-woman-to-plead-guilty-in-actor-matthew-perrys-ketamine-death-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=59481","title":{"rendered":"California Woman to Plead Guilty in Actor Matthew Perry&#8217;s Ketamine Death Case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"166\" data-end=\"386\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>LOS ANGELES\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"166\" data-end=\"386\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-29089 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Los-Angeles-Police-Department-209x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"209\" height=\"300\" \/>A North Hollywood woman known as the \u201cKetamine Queen\u201d has agreed to plead guilty to federal drug charges, including supplying the ketamine that caused actor Matthew Perry\u2019s fatal overdose in October 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"388\" data-end=\"751\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong data-start=\"388\" data-end=\"405\">The Defendant<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"405\" data-end=\"408\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Jasveen Sangha, 42, a dual U.S.-U.K. citizen, will plead guilty to maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of ketamine distribution, and one count of distribution resulting in death or serious injury. <\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"388\" data-end=\"751\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">She faces up to 20 years on the premises charge, 10 years for each distribution count, and 15 years for the death-related charge, according to authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"753\" data-end=\"767\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong data-start=\"753\" data-end=\"765\">The Case<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"1205\">\n<li data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"907\">\n<p data-start=\"770\" data-end=\"907\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Sangha worked with Erik Fleming, 55, to distribute ketamine to Perry, who received 51 vials through his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, 60.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"1016\">\n<p data-start=\"910\" data-end=\"1016\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">On October 28, 2023, Iwamasa injected Perry with three shots of Sangha\u2019s ketamine, leading to his death.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1017\" data-end=\"1116\">\n<p data-start=\"1019\" data-end=\"1116\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">After Perry\u2019s death, Sangha attempted to cover her tracks by urging Fleming to delete messages.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1205\">\n<p data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1205\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Sangha also admitted to selling ketamine in 2019 to Cody McLaury, who died hours later.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"What to know about the 5 people charged in Matthew Perry\u2019s death\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Tl_cTIx49Lk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1458\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1226\">Drug Operations<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"1226\" data-end=\"1229\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">At Sangha&#8217;s North Hollywood home, investigators found methamphetamine pills, 79 vials of ketamine, MDMA, counterfeit Xanax, cocaine, trafficking tools, and cash. Sangha admitted using her residence as a drug hub since at least 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1460\" data-end=\"1482\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong data-start=\"1460\" data-end=\"1480\">Other Defendants<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1483\" data-end=\"1973\">\n<li data-start=\"1483\" data-end=\"1608\">\n<p data-start=\"1485\" data-end=\"1608\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><em data-start=\"1485\" data-end=\"1502\">Mark Chavez, 55<\/em>, San Diego physician \u2013 guilty of conspiracy to distribute ketamine; sentencing Sept. 17 (max 10 years).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1609\" data-end=\"1726\">\n<p data-start=\"1611\" data-end=\"1726\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><em data-start=\"1611\" data-end=\"1629\">Erik Fleming, 55<\/em> \u2013 guilty of conspiracy and distribution resulting in death; sentencing Nov. 12 (max 25 years).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1727\" data-end=\"1848\">\n<p data-start=\"1729\" data-end=\"1848\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><em data-start=\"1729\" data-end=\"1750\">Kenneth Iwamasa, 60<\/em> \u2013 guilty of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death; sentencing Nov. 19 (max 15 years).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1849\" data-end=\"1973\">\n<p data-start=\"1851\" data-end=\"1973\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><em data-start=\"1851\" data-end=\"1883\">Salvador \u201cDr. P\u201d Plasencia, 43<\/em> \u2013 guilty of four ketamine distribution counts; sentencing Dec. 3 (up to 10 years each).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1975\" data-end=\"2171\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong data-start=\"1975\" data-end=\"2006\">Investigation &amp; Prosecution<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"2006\" data-end=\"2009\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The case was investigated by LAPD, DEA, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Prosecutors are Assistant U.S. Attorneys Ian V. Yanniello and Haoxiaohan H.
