Gonzalez faces separate RICO conspiracy charges tied to the 2023 shooting of Vahan Harutyunyan, now in federal custody on kidnapping charges, officials stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"853\" data-end=\"1219\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3918 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice-300x300.png\" alt=\"Two Men Arrested for Allegedly Operating One of the Largest Synthetic Drug Smuggling Rings\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Department-of-Justice.png 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Agents seized firearms, a silencer, gun parts, and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition during searches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1221\" data-end=\"1558\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Court filings allege the Armenian Organized Crime network, with ties to the Russian and Mexican Mafia, has turned Los Angeles into a hub of operations. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1221\" data-end=\"1558\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Since 2022, rival leaders <strong data-start=\"1399\" data-end=\"1422\">Robert Amiryan (47)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1427\" data-end=\"1446\">Ara Artuni (41)<\/strong> have fought for control, sparking assaults, shootings, and kidnappings. Both men are in custody awaiting trial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1560\" data-end=\"1984\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Prosecutors say Artuni repeatedly ordered Amiryan\u2019s murder in 2023, while Amiryan retaliated with his own kidnapping plot. By early 2025, the gang defendants began stalking Amiryan. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1560\" data-end=\"1984\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">On March 14, Grimaldi and another man allegedly shot his partner instead, wounding her as she arrived home with the couple\u2019s children. Mares, acting as the getaway driver, later complained she was underpaid because \u201cit was the wife, not him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1986\"
