The two Rupert Murdoch-owned outlets blasted Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s response to Alex Pretti’s killing.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"\"The New York Times<\/em> <\/strong>has finally discovered\u2014after more than a decade\u2014that Donald Trump may be mentally unstable and physically unfit. The NYT recently and cautiously raised the question of whether such a person should have access to nuclear weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n

Better late than never.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Wall Street Journal<\/em> <\/strong>followed with a \u201cstrongly worded\u201d editorial, apparently hoping stern language might penetrate the mind of a man with a long record of cruelty, retribution, and compulsive dishonesty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eureka<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This presumes, of course, that Trump reads newspapers, absorbs facts, or cares about national security briefings\u2014none of which history suggests.<\/span><\/p>\n

So good luck with the strongly worded editorial salad.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"The rest of sane America has known for years\u2014millions for decades<\/strong>\u2014that Trump is unstable, cruel, and corrupt, and that barely scratches the surface.<\/span><\/p>\n

Which brings us to Rupert Murdoch, owner of the Wall Street Journal<\/em> and the New York Post<\/em>,<\/strong> and the architect of the Trump propaganda and praise pagoda known as Fox News.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

If Murdoch were serious<\/strong> about the nation\u2019s well-being, he would put public safety above profits and ratings and dial down the nonstop Trump glorification by Sean and the Gang at Fox <\/strong>of a man who thrives on grievance and incitement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Doing so wouldn\u2019t solve everything\u2014but it would go a long way toward reducing the fear, <\/strong>radicalization, bloodshed and violence on America’s streets by the Trump administration and ICE<\/span><\/p>\n

That would be real leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
