\"DoctorJonathan Garcia<\/strong>, 37, of Long Beach, California, also known as \u201cGordo,\u201d was sentenced Tuesday by in federal court to six years and six months \u00a0in prison <\/strong>for trafficking narcotics into Connecticut.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to court documents, the DEA\u2019s Hartford Task Force<\/strong> began investigating a large-scale drug trafficking organization in 2022 that distributed kilogram quantities of fentanyl and cocaine in Connecticut.<\/span><\/p>\n

The investigation, which included court-authorized wiretaps, surveillance, and controlled narcotics purchases, revealed the organization obtained drugs from sources in California via Mexico.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"In February 2023, investigators intercepted two parcels mailed from a West Hartford post office to Southern California addresses. One package contained about $6,500 in cash and two new Apple iPhones<\/strong>; the other contained about $38,300 in cash<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Authorities also determined that members of the Loose Cannonz motorcycle club<\/strong>, based in East Hartford, were receiving fentanyl and cocaine shipments for distribution in the Hartford area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Investigators said Garcia and another individual coordinated shipments of kilogram quantities of narcotics from Mexico to Connecticut. Garcia occasionally traveled to Connecticut to facilitate transactions and collect drug proceeds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Garcia was arrested on Oct. 24, 2023<\/strong>, and on Aug. 11, 2025<\/strong>, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Garcia, who remains free on bond, must report to prison on April 22<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Court records show Garcia has a prior 2017 federal cocaine trafficking conviction<\/strong> in the Central District of California.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
