HUNTSVILLE, Ala.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"A federal correctional officer at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Aliceville has been charged this week in an indictment unsealed with eight counts of deprivation of rights under color of law for allegedly sexually assaulting seven female inmates, officials stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the indictment, Felix Sylvester Wilder, 37, assaulted the women between May 2022 and September 2024 while they were incarcerated at FCI Aliceville and he was on duty as a correctional officer at the facility.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege Wilder violated the inmates\u2019 civil rights by sexually assaulting them while acting under the authority of his position.<\/span><\/p>\n

If convicted on all counts, Wilder faces a maximum sentence of life in federal prison.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
