The complaint was filed late Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" title=\"\" data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"714\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Abdulkarim was arrested Tuesday and remains in custody in San Bernardino County.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ontario warehouse arson suspect facing federal charges\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ej4xz5hrMK0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" title=\"\" data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"714\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">According to an affidavit, Abdulkarim filmed himself early April 7 setting fire to multiple pallets of paper goods inside a large distribution center. As he lit the fires, he allegedly said, \u201cIf you\u2019re not going to pay us enough to [expletive] live or afford to live, at least pay us enough not to do this [expletive].\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" title=\"\" data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1107\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The fires quickly spread and destroyed the building, authorities said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" title=\"\" data-start=\"1109\" data-end=\"1354\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Investigators allege Abdulkarim posted videos of the fires on social media and made additional statements by phone and text about his motive, including: \u201cI just cost these [expletive] billions,\u201d and \u201cAll you had to do was pay us enough to live.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1471\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The San Bernardino County District Attorney\u2019s Office is also pursuing a separate criminal case related to the fire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" title=\"\" data-start=\"1473\" data-end=\"1595\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The defendant is presumed innocent unless proven
