\"\"A former account manager at a prestigious Beverly Hills business management and tax firm has been charged in federal court with allegedly embezzling more than $2 million from a celebrity client over a nearly four-year span, officials announced Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Federal prosecutors announced that Frank Musoke, 38, formerly of Woodland Hills, faces five counts of wire fraud<\/strong> and three counts of tax evasion<\/strong> in an eight-count indictment tied to the alleged theft scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n

Authorities believe Musoke fled to Uganda, where he reportedly holds dual U.S. and Ugandan citizenship.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the indictment, Musoke worked as an account manager for a Beverly Hills-based business management firm<\/strong> that catered primarily to high-net-worth celebrities in the entertainment industry. Prosecutors allege Musoke had broad authority over clients\u2019 finances, including access to banking information, debit cards, and financial accounts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The victim, identified only as \u201cIndividual A,\u201d is described in court documents as a well-known television host and producer who had been a client of the firm for nearly two decades.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \"\"The indictment alleges Musoke withdrew approximately $1.73 million from ATMs linked to the victim\u2019s business accounts. He also allegedly spent about $165,270 on Amazon purchases<\/strong>, more than $191,000 on personal travel, and another $160,000 on various personal expenses.<\/span><\/p>\n

    In total, prosecutors say Musoke embezzled more than $2 million from the celebrity client.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The Beverly Hills firm terminated Musoke in July 2023 after discovering the alleged fraud, according to court records.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Federal authorities also allege Musoke filed false federal income tax returns between 2021 and 2023 by failing to report approximately $1.76 million in illegally obtained income.<\/span><\/p>\n

    If convicted, Musoke faces up to 20 years in federal prison for each wire fraud<\/strong> count and up to five years for each tax evasion<\/strong> count.<\/span><\/p>\n
