\"Lubbock,<\/a>LUBBOCK, TEXAS<\/strong> \u2014 A California motorist\u00a0was\u00a0driving east on Interstate 20 at about 5 mph on Christmas Day 2013. Other motorists complained to the 911 dispatcher about how slow she was traveling on the highway, officials said.<\/p>\n

Police officers located her car parked on the shoulder of the highway. Christini Lynn Brashear,<\/strong> 45, of Rocklin, California, was asleep at the wheel. Officers called for emergency medical help for Brashear. She was taken to the hospital and agreed to let officers driver her car there rather than have it towed, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

Brashear<\/strong>\u00a0admitted using and possessing methamphetamine, which she turned over to the officers.<\/p>\n

The officer who was driving woman’s vehicle to the hospital detected a strong odor of Marijuana in the back of the car, officials said.<\/p>\n

There was marijuana in the SUV that was bagged in one-pound clear plastic bags. The vehicle also contained multiple cell phones, two road atlases, and a note pad with hand-written directions to Houston, Texas, law enforcement officials said.<\/p>\n

Rental papers indicated that Brashear’s SUV had been rented in Sacramento on. Dec. 22, 2013 and that was due back on Dec. 26, 2013, officials said.<\/p>\n

On Friday,\u00a0<\/strong>Brashear\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0pleaded guilty in federal court to one of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, authorities said.<\/p>\n

She is is now facing up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.<\/p>\n
