{"id":8040,"date":"2014-12-15T15:55:45","date_gmt":"2014-12-15T23:55:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=8040"},"modified":"2014-12-15T16:10:35","modified_gmt":"2014-12-16T00:10:35","slug":"former-cop-ex-professional-football-player-indicted-drug-dealing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cjnotebook.com\/?p=8040","title":{"rendered":"Former Cop and Ex-Professional Football Player Indicted for Rape and Drug Dealing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NEW ORLEANS, LA\u2014 \u00a0<\/strong>A former\u00a0St. Bernard deputy sheriff and former New Orleans Saints player were \u00a0Monday indicted for drug distribution and obstruction charges<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brandon Licciardi,<\/strong> age 29 of Meraux, Louisiana, and <strong>Darren Sharper<\/strong>, age 39, formerly of New Orleans, were charged Monday in a six-count Indictment.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Vz0hxmt8rUM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s indictment reflects our office priorities of fighting violence and public corruption,\u201d state U.S. Attorney \u00a0Kenneth Polite. \u201cAs alleged, Sharper and Licciardi conspired to distributed narcotics to several women with the intent to commit rape. Licciardi further compromised his position as a law enforcement officer by encouraging a witness to lie about Licciardi\u2019s involvement in this co<\/p>\n<p>Licciardi and Sharper were charged with conspiracy to distribute Alprazolam, Diazepam and Zolpidem with intent to commit rape and two counts of distributing these substances with intent to commit rape.<\/p>\n<p>Licciardi was also charged with two counts of Witness Tampering and one count of Impeding an Investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Licciardiis a former deputy sheriff with the St. Bernard Sheriff\u2019s Office. He resigned from that position prior to his arrest today. Sharper is a former member of the New Orleans Saints and is presently in custody in Los Angeles criminal charges, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Bond was set at $3 million for each
