FACEBOOK POST:
My friend and talented Attorney Kristi Peariso, who has a law practice in Ventura County, California posted this on Facebook Thursday about her daughter’s boyfriend:
“My 16 year old daughter is dating a wonderful Mexican American boy. He was born in the US and is a citizen. His father is a naturalized citizen and his mother a citizen of Mexico. She is a very hard working woman and is not a rapist or murderer. Yesterday as the boyfriend walked down the street, in the middle of downtown Ventura, someone yelled at out a car window to him “you better go home (Mexico) while you can”. This is the American that we now live in. People who obviously have always been racist (and clearly there are more than I would have ever guessed) now feel free to express their discriminatory, racist hate in public at the expense of a child. But when our country elects a president who does the same, what can we expect. I can promise you that this incident would not have occurred on Monday.”

Lydia Veloz Wow, Kristi Peariso, now you may not want your daughter to date her boyfriend, being scared that she could be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I’m so sorry ??

If I were to prevent my daughter from dating a Mexican boy, I would be no better than that I’m fighting against. I will educate her on the dangerous hateful people in this country.

DARK DAYS, DARK HEART
A snake charmer will tell you that a snake cannot be trained to retract its fangs or not inject its venom.
Some, however, are convinced that President Elect Donald Trump will set aside his enormous ego and overcome a mentally unstable personality and mend what has become the gaping wound of American division.
Well-meaning Christians even laid hands on a con man who said he has never had asked for forgiveness from anyone, not even an apology. Many evangelicals like Pat Robertson and Franklin Graham went further and publicly voiced their support for Trump. For the most part, they did this to ensure the Republican Party can secure to appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Trump overwhelmingly got the evangelical vote. Millions of Christians were willing to vote for a man who bragged about sexually assaulting women, and told Howard Stern that he enjoyed walking into the dressing rooms of young women and loved catching them while they were undressing. He made a remark on video when he saw a 10-year-old female going up a store elevator that he would be “dating her” in 10 years.
There is example after example of Trump’s bigotry and racism. He unashamedly mocked a disabled journalist and belittled an American hero, John McCain, along the way questioning the sincerity of a Muslim family who had lost their U.S. Army Captain son in Iraq. He died saving the lives of other American servicemen.
Yet, Christians were willing to embrace this evil and enter into a pact with the devil to secure two picks on the U.S. Supreme Court.
I’m not a Bible scholar but I believe Jesus while in the wilderness was offered much more than two Supreme Court picks. Satan took Jesus to a high mountain top and offered him “the kingdoms of the world and their glory” if he worshiped Satan.
Each time Jesus was tempted he replied “it is written” and quoted scripture to the devil.
A godless man and comedian Bill Maher didn’t take long to figure all this out, saying that Trump did something positive by exposing these “shameless” religious hypocrites for what they were.
It was interesting that Maher used the 10 Commandments to underscore what he was saying.
In recent Sundays, in many churches including the one I attended in Santa Barbara, “Voters Guides” were offered so Christians could gauge the candidates positions on different political issues including abortion. The pastors noted that there were independent voters guides in the lobby for the congregation of thousands to read. Also they said a vague prayer about leadership and made remarks that Christians should look at each candidate’s positions including the “sanctity of life.”
It was a religious high-wire act so there wouldn’t be any risks of losing tax-exempt statuses for steering people to the Republican Party.
Also many Christians are against abortions but don’t want the government to get in the way of a very personal decision a woman makes with her doctor. In China, there were once government forced abortions. In Romania, the politicians mandated compulsory childbearing.
Visibly absent from the pastor’s pulpit was any reference to the 10 Commandments as a God’s Believer Guide in conducting one’s personal and public life.
In a column last month, one of my favorite columnist George Will who has a brilliant mind and superior intellect wrote this:
“Trump is a marvelously efficient acid bath, stripping away his supporters’ surfaces, exposing their skeletal essences. Consider Mike Pence, a favorite of what Republicans devoutly praise as America’s “faith community.”
Some of its representatives, their crucifixes glittering in the television lights, are still earnestly explaining the urgency of giving to Trump, who agreed that his daughter is “a piece of ass,” the task of improving America’s coarsened culture.”
“Because Pence looks relatively presidential when standing next to Trump — talk about defining adequacy down — some Republicans want Trump to slink away, allowing Pence to float to the top of the ticket and represent Republicanism resurrected. This idea ignores a pertinent point: Pence is standing next to Trump.”
He salivated for the privilege of being Trump’s poodle, and he expresses his canine devotion in rhetorical treacle about “this good man.” What would a bad man look like to pastor Pence?”
LEFT-WING OBSERVATORY
Those that would make the argument that I am just another mindless left-wing observatory who is critical of Republicans should know this. I voted for Ronald Reagan, and to this day, I admire this good and decent man despite his imperfections. I read the book “Dutch” which cemented my admiration.
I voted for Bush I and Bush II, and Obama, but on the second time he ran for office. I never cast a vote for Hillary Clinton until Tuesday.
Having said this, I believe the script to this nefarious political tale is still being written by a dark heart whose only guide is his greed and insatiable ego. So, sadly, there are many dark days ahead.
If I am wrong, I will gladly ask God and Mr. Trump for forgiveness.

“Trump’s campaign was “reality television moral sewage,” he told “Face the Nation,” and in the Times he criticized Trump’s followers — many of whom are Moore’s fellow evangelicals — for using racist “threats and intimidation” tactics.” — Southern Baptist leader Russell Moore interview.

I’m still hoping Trump will publicly refrain from speaking ignorance. If not, he will be digging his own grave.
