This con man truly believes he can strong-arm the entire world to satisfy his whims. Through the Colombian Embassy, his flunkies could have negotiated a humane arrangement—perhaps even dispatching Colombian aircraft to bring their citizens home with dignity. Instead, this crude, crass buffoon, whose mental competence appears feeble at best, chose to humiliate, bully, and intimidate foreign officials like a spoiled man-child.
Remarkably, a bipartisan immigration bill had already passed the Senate, even earning the endorsement of the Border Patrol Union. But Trump insisted on killing it—preferring instead to wield thuggish tactics to address immigration. And his spineless Republican yes-men dutifully fell into line, betraying any pretense of principled leadership in the process.
This nation needs safe and secure borders but it also must have humane, fair and compassion immigration laws and policies that aren’t written by Trump’s brutes, stooges and racists.
Trump recently threatened the Danish government, and the details weren’t given by corporate media like CNN about what happened.
